This Hotel X proposal is a showstopper with incredible skyline views and floor-to-ceiling windows, and it all started in Cuba where these two first met.
A luxury hotel with skyline views and a waterfront setting, this stunning Toronto hotel wedding venue provides space for your ceremony and guest accommodations all in one location. Convenience meets luxury with a set-up like that.
I, for one, cannot get over the stunning glass enclosure where most weddings here are held. The sun sets on that side of the building, bringing sunlight directly into every reception.
I have the feeling that Guilia knew the proposal was coming because she was dressed to the nines. They walked into the modern room where he had red heart balloons, rose petals and a “Marry Me” sign — a hopeless romantic style proposal that she said yes to.
One thing I adored about this celebration was the way they involved their family. The couple had the room to themselves for the proposal, but their family came immediately after to pop champagne, take photos and then go out for dinner.
As most Italian families are, they were very sweet, friendly and welcoming (which I felt drawn to being Italian myself).
To continue the celebration, then stepped over to the balcony where there’s a view of Lake Ontario and the city.
One tradition Corrado explained to me ahead of time is the photo they take every time they travel. So, we took one to complete the current year’s collection.
These two, Corrado and Guilia, were undeniably thoughtful. From the photo book he makes every year to document their lives together to the rose petal proposal, you can tell how much they care.
