Couldn’t be more excited to be posting this blog post today!!! Some serious dreams came true this summer when I was asked to do an engagement session in New York City.
It’s not every day you meet a couple who’s love story involves airports, long distance phone calls, and New York City. So, when I first met Simone and Brandon at a bridal show I did earlier this year, it was hard not to burst into excitement learning more about them and how they wanted to do their engagement shoot in New York to celebrate the beginning part of their love story.
I must say, these two are seriously THEEEE kindest and warmest people I have ever met. And I’m not just saying that because they took me to New York with them! They are just two very genuine, down to earth people that have made me feel so welcomed from the very beginning and getting to spend a few days in the great Big Apple with them was a dream come true.
Since most of their relationship started out with them hanging out in New York due to Brandon having to move there for work a month into dating, there were many spots in the city that was special to them. And you can bet that Central Park was one of them! I was very thankful Brandon has pretty much become the ultimate guru for the city because he knew all the best routes to getting around and that made things a looooottt easier! Especially in a place like Central Park where I got lost on my own when I was out and about one of those days.
What I really love most about this destination engagement session is that we got to do some causal nature shots in Central Park but we also went to some places like the Brooklyn Bridge and the Rockefeller Building to gets photos with some killer views of the city. And I will also add that the view of Simone in that black mesh evening dress was a killer view all in itself haha The amount of heads that turned while she was walking around was unreal!!! Brandon is one lucky guy!!!
Simone and Brandon – Thank you so much for being honestly such wonderful people and always being so kind and supportive of me and my work! You two are just simply the best and I really enjoyed getting to spend a few days with you in the city. Counting the days until you say I do at Kurtz next year <3
