During the month of January, I had a magnificent time shooting a destination wedding in Adelaide, Australia. I owe this opportunity to the wonderful and most talented Nicholas Purcell who allowed me to co-photograph and second shoot Kate and Sam’s beautiful wedding. Please check him out as he definitely deserves the attention! Thank you Nicholas! Destination weddings are what I live for! I was super excited when I found out that the wedding was going to be in Adelaide wine country, located at a place called Longview Vineyard. As cool and a cucumber, Kate was getting the finishing touches on her hair and make up when we arrived. She warmly welcomed us to the excited chit chatter going on amongst herself and the bridesmaids.  Sam was equally relaxed and kicking it back with his groomsmen making lunch and drinking some beers.  With the rolling hills as their backdrop and their two little munchkins by their side, their ceremony was intimate and beautiful, filled with their closest loved ones. They spent the whole ceremony looking into each other’s eyes with nothing but love and admiration for one another.  When Sam started his speech to tribute his beloved mother who he knew was there in spirit, Kate was quick to pick up where he had left off knowing when he needed take a break. It was emotionally touching to see her ability to know when he needed support and this unintentional move melted all of our hearts. Their day was magical. Not only was it all taking place in one of Adelaide’s most beautiful locations, but there also ended up being TWO beautiful white horses that decided to grace us with their presence.  Thank you Kate and Sam from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be apart of your day.  It was an honour and I am super excited to share their special day with everyone!
