So, it’s pretty obvious that the weather this summer hasn’t been the greatest, leaving a lot of plans for outdoor ceremonies to be rearranged. For Kaela and Jeff’s ceremony plans at The Arlington Estates, that’s exactly what had to happened. However, the day didn’t end with any gloom.
When I headed to the Elements Vaughan Southwest hotel to capture Kaela’s morning prep, I prayed those dark clouds would hold off until after the early evening ceremony. Of course they didn’t so we had to shoot inside the venue hall at The Arlington Estate. It was a good thing that the hall was heavily decorated with gorgeous floral arrangements! It made for a beautiful background for the couple to stand in front of and say their I do’s!
Luckily for us, the rain stopped right after we finished family photos so we decided to head outside to finish the portrait session despite the ground being really wet. I’m so happy that everything cleared up because the lighting was perfect (the white clouds made for an excellent giant soft box) and these photos ended up being some of my favourite from this season so far!
K+J – I had so much fun joking around and hanging out with you guys during the engagement session and your wedding day! Also, a big thank you for letting me sit at the parent table where for the first time in history, I wasn’t the last person to get fed haha Can’t wait until your little bundle of joy to make his way into the world! Congratulations you two!
